That grin sparked her own impish side, her eyes gleaming as she smirked over the grumpy goose comment. Leave it to her Prismatic friend!

She felt something as she took off at a dead run, stretching her little legs as far as they could go in an effort to keep up. It was a strange shifting and settling inside her, something new - but most things were new, so it didn't startle her. She was running in the night, the auroras boiling over her head, her friend prancing and tossing her mane in play beside her, and for a brief moment she felt as if she was more than she'd ever been. The frail barrier of reservation, erected by manners and civilities, fell away; for a moment she was fierce and wild and a power, though she had no special status as Rogue or Warrior or Elemental.

Her wings spread, the wind stirred, and the auroras cut down to spark along her hooves as they lifted out of the grass to run in the sky, her wings bearing her weight in the swirling breeze. She didn't think this was the sort of astral wind she could feel her special link to, so it wasn't all that likely she'd managed to summon it - but still, it had come. It lifted her and the lights in the sky reached down for her and her head reached as high as Spectrum's as she sped along the shallow banks of the pond.

Then the moment passed, leaving her to slide onto the ground with heaving sides and the sensation of her wing muscles singing in joy - strained, but not overtaxed. Looking around, AuraSidra inspected the land with a passive eye and a shrewed gaze; grass, mud, water and a few small fish and plants poking through the shallows. She could probably enjoy splashing about and startling the little minnows, but she didn't feel like it at the moment.

Instead she looked at Spectrum and gave a small, smirking smile as she said Let's swim. I heard it was a lot like flying. Momma told me.

And of course, she worshiped her mother - so if Nova told her something, not only was it true but it was absolute.

I wouldn't know. I haven't had much experience in either. she answered with a grin. Never-the-less she slipped into the water easily. Pumping her legs to keep afloat she let her thoughts drift back to when the filly was racing with her. She had truly let go in that moment and the result was nothing short of magnificent. Spectrum had gotten a glimpse of what her filly was inside, and it left her in awe. This filly was truly something special, and Spectrum couldn't wait to see her grow to her full potential; and she'd be by her side every step of the way. But for now she was just a playful filly. Spectrum used her tail to send a splash the filly's way, trying to liven things up. Fillies have short attention spans, doncha know?

The splash made her squeal in delight and, before long, her wings were being used for more than propulsion through the shallows - it turns out they were great for making huge splashes. But water combat had a lot in common with aerial troubles - avoidance was half the battle. Taking a huge breath she gave a quick grin and dove under the rippling surface, flapping hard as she kicked her legs and ran along the bottom.

It really was like flying - she was so much lighter in the water, and her wings did most of the work as they pushed her along - or, at the moment, upwards to the surface again. Popping up for a breath, she spun around in search of her friend, hoping to have managed to sneak up on the mare. Like flying though, part of her mind was always on keeping afloat - you can't stop flapping in the air or you fall, and her wings flittered lightly over the surface of the water to keep her up the same way.

She liked this; she'd have to find more places where there was soft-ice (water, she thought absently, they call it water) to practice in until her muscles caught up with her ambition.

In the meantime she had to find her friend and proceed to soak her to the bone.

Spectrum saw the filly dive and try to swim up behind her. With a few careful kicks, the rolls were reversed. With a smirk she called out Wrong way Sidhefoal. before sending out a small splash with her tail. She took a deep breath, ready to be drenched.

She squealed, ducking down as the water flittered across her head, and promptly leaped back up with the biggest kick she could manage to push the water at her friend. She tried to swing some around with her tail too, but it was still too short and fuzzy to be of much use; but boy, could she kick!

Sneak attack was out; now her only plan was to splash as much as possible while trying her best to skitter away from the counter attacks.

She quickly began swimming around to the side to avoid the frontal(or was it backward :)) assault. She renewed her breath and dove down to the bottom, something shiny having caught her eye. She quickly grasped it in her teeth-along with a mouthful of sand- and swam to the surface. Hey AuraSidra! I found something! She quickly swam over to the edge and dropped her prize on the bank. It was a... it was a... Spectrum didn't know what it was. She had never seen anything like it. It was long and shaped kinda like a carrot, with the top wider than the rest. The wider part was really thin though, and she didn't understand it's purpose. She quickly turned to the filly and whispered What is that?
