Treasure bit her lip at Stray’s indignant stance. Perhaps there was no trouble now because of the sweet filly. That was a blessing, at least.

There was no holding back another smile after that look she gave. One could certainly tell she was the darlimg at home. “Moving back to the area? Have you been away long?”

A tinkling laugh -quiet enough to ignore if one wished- escaped her as she addressed Stray with a mock I’m-on-to-you tone. “Are you quite sure you didn’t ask for the short straw before the drawing?” A wink for the purple and blue filly.

In search of a beach? This was serious then. She tapped a forehoof in thought a moment. “Perhaps there was, and the beach up and decided to move.” A pause to see what her new friends thought of this, eyes twinkling with mischief.

“Lost is quite a subjective thing really, don’t you think? How about we go in that direction there” - she tipped her head over to her right - “and see if that lake stayed put? It’s got a small beach that should do nicely.” Brows raised in a silent question to the babysitter. She didn’t want to cause more trouble.

Bella considered the question for a moment, in her concept of time it seemed like forever since they had last seen The Fields, but even then she hadn't been allowed to wander much. Perhaps it hadn't been quite that long.

"A few years," Stray answered before the foal could, earning himself a glare from his tiny sidekick, "It was a necessary vacation."

Was that... A joke? He half smiled, which is a lot for him, he hadn't expected a sense of humor from the mare who had let the leprechaun speak for her previously. "I'm pretty sure it was rigged, I should have demanded a recount."

The filly giggled, how could beach up and move? Wait a minute... Could it? She seemed puzzled for a moment, before she caught the sparkle in their new friend's eye and started giggling again, "To the lake!" She declared, bouncing in the direction Treasure had indicated.

Stray's smirk had remained present across his lips, "Subjective, sure. If you would be so kind," He angled his head in the direction the filly had paused to glance over her shoulder, making sure she wasn't continuing on by herself.

Treasure couldn’t fully contain her grin at the way these two could push each others’ buttons. With the young one’s agreement already in action, the green mare set off after her. “My pleasure. Don’t think you can ditch out when we’re not looking though. We should hate to not have someone to bury and build a castle around.” Somehow the mental image of the stern red stallion on the beach was just a gut tickler.

“Have you gotten to see anything interesting in your expedition so far?” She called ahead to the filly.

Not too far away, a bright yellow stallion folded wings and bent his head to the cool water of a lake. He was debating his next direction. Sham had stopped home and was off again on some other business without any real explanation of Treasure’s not coming home as well. Perhaps he would fly just a bit further and see if he happened to come across her...

As the little one trotted along she grinned at the thought of being buried, but the image of only Stray's head sticking out of the sand made her giggle. Maybe if she batted her eyelashes innocently enough...

Stray continued along after the ladies, keeping a weary eye on the pair ahead of him. Ears flicked in each direction atop his head, catching the sounds of birds rustling branches as they took off and the crunching of a nut in the teeth of some kind of rodent... But no threats.

The muscles in his neck bulged as he stretched his nose to the air, inhaling deeply. Finally satisfied that there was no immediate danger he settled his gaze back to two before him, his orders had been clear. The filly was to be returned in one piece and he wasn't exactly in the mood to upset her father. He considered this for a moment and smirked, perhaps he should be more concerned about pleasing her mother.

Bellatrix crossed her eyes and stuck her tongue out in a pretend gag, "Trees, trees... and more trees." Her gaze flicked back up to Treasure, curiosity shining in her eyes, "What's the greatest thing you've ever seen?"

Green strides lengthened to keep up with the trotting filly. Treasure admired the tall and proud stance of the young one, thinking she must be having a good time for now. She gave not much thought to the potential dangers around them. Surely the red stallion seemed on high alert and would be aware of threats before they occured to her.

“Trees are better than thorns though, yes? Or puddles?” Throwing a glance over her shoulder at Stray showed her another smirk. She had to wonder about him.

“The greatest thing ever... hmmmm.” A family mare through and through, the sight of her bond family at their last reunion had touched her heart. Somehow she doubted this was what Bella meant... “Like on an adventure? I saw my bond brother Gypsy get scooped up by a huge fiery bird one time. It was pretty scary! How about you?”

The stallion scoffed, half a smirk curving the end of his mouth, "Much better."

He was slightly puzzled by her displays of trust, just wandering off with complete strangers into the woods. Although he probably doesn't seem very threatening... With babysitting duty and all. How someone could be so open... Maybe he was the strange one for being so on guard.

He took a breath and attempted to relax, something he was often told to try.

Bella's gait slowed half a stride and her eyes widened with wonder. "A fiery bird?! Did it try to eat him?!"

She considered the question for a moment, she hadn't really thought about it before, and hadn't really seen much in her short life so far. "The mountains... We had to climb them to reach my bonded's family, the view from up there was pretty great." She took a deep breath and sighed, glancing around, "Are we there yet?"
