A graceful shadow...

She trotted past a good deal of trees, weeping willow trees, to be exact. They brushed their dangling green leaves against her purple and gray back, and some gently against her head and through her mane. None tangled within the black and white hair, however.
She was sort of small-figured in a way, almost fragile. However, she was far from such. Despite that her voice almost brought on the idea of her being like glass, it was obvious that after a good deal of time knowing her... she was a bit bad a- in a way.
The mare turned ruby red eyes about the surroundings, a swamp. Foggy, gray-blue colors surrounded her. The rainy skies provided shade, thus making the swamps seem almost wretched.

Polar, her name was, had been traveling from her terra. She was eager to meet serians other than Flux, who she had made enemies with. She disliked the other mare's often-personality switch. She found it quite a nuisance how she was pleasant, shy, outspoken one minute. And then, the next, distant and cold.
She had heard voiced from other serians, but figured they were a good distance away. A very good distance away.
She still moved on though, determined.

*An eye peered out of the shadows at the wanderer, looking closer as it noticed her sense of purpose and felt a tinge of curiosity. Slowly rising, the darkened form picked itself out from it's mottled surroundings and, without a sound, sidled up next to the mare.

And though her voice was not much used, her whispered question reached Polar's ears.*

Why?

((OOC: Sorry if I'm a bit rusty... I'm just getting into this again for the first time in a while ^^; )

(That's fine, I'm not too well myself.)

Polar turned her head around in surprise, looking over towards the mare that had just appeared, and jumped slightly. She breathed in a sigh of relief when she saw it was only another serian, and not some alligator or crocodile like she would've thought prowling around the swamps.
Her ears perked at the sound of the other mare's voice, and she cocked her head at the question, not quite understanding.

"Why?" she asked, her tone creeping around the air like a spider with it's long, spindly legs. "Well, if you are asking why I am here, I am to visit other serians... I wish to get new friends."

*peering closer, the young Serian shakes her head softly and a hint of a smile comes across her face, though her eyes show nothing of emotion, only secrecy*

You must have taken a wrong turn...

*she clears her throat and looks around, her curiosity, though not much evident, was still piqued. It had been long since she had chosen the solitary life, and she almost appreciated the company. It was an interesting change in what was otherwise a rather routine way of living. She turns towards the place most of the Serians tend to congregate and looks at the Serian next to her.

If you wish to go there, I can show you a much easier route than the one you are currently on.

"Oh, well, I'd be glad if you would show me," she said with a warm smile, enjoying the rather polite and welcoming attitude that the mare gave off. She liked it when others had manners.
Her red optics wandered over to the place the mare had turned to and had mentioned through body language was the place where the serians were to gather for social outings. The clouds were white and puffy there, not filled with moisture and rain. The place looked a little too.... bright for her liking, but she guessed that maybe just a peek would do no harm.
Maybe she'd like it. And even if she didn't, she could always just wander into a different part of the terrain, or she could just stay with the other mare.

*Seeing the mare scrutinize the bright weather, she paused and then shruged. The weather wasn't quite to her liking either, since her preference was for shadows and a slightly cooler cliamate than most would prefer. Blinking at a thought, she suddenly turned and looked at the mare*

My name... I never told you what it is. I am called Avensong, due to my liking for seclusion.

*Her speckled hooves turned once again towards the Fields, and Aven slowly began walking towards the pathway that lead to the others. She supposed her brothers would be there, but she hadn't seen them since they were foals and they had gone their separate ways.*
