He peered cautiously through the wooded underbrush adjacent to the fields. He felt foolishly nervous for hiding when he should be enjoying the day, but his little experience with other Serians had him quite flustered.
He snorted in annoyance. His quick scan of the fields had found....nothing. There was no one in sight! He flicked his ears back perturbly. Curse that Talia for insisting that he go socialize himself!
He gave himself a few moments to let his quick temper fizzle, and the side of himself that listened to reason returned. *Perhaps I'll just wait here a bit longer,* he thought. *Someone is bound to show up eventually.*
