Nearly sunrise

The quiet yet social mare was sitting by herself, smiling at the promise of the first rays of morning. She was content with everything at the moment, and was happily lost in her thoughts. She was going to be getting a gift from Foxxfyre soon, something pretty was all that Tig would tell her. Something like what Zephyr got, but better! To top off the excitement of that- she had a circle! She recently joined thanks to an invitation from a new friend, Frolic. And although she felt awkward in front of the two pairs, one of which was Spin and her friend Frolic, she was also in luck that she wasn't the only single Serian who joined.

Lothorien was the other, and she'd only gotten to talk to him briefly before. However, word was (thanks to the queen of mischief- Beta), that he was as happy that she joined the circle, as she was that he joined! Well, all thoughts of the handsome stallion aside... wait, maybe a few more wouldn't hurt... alright, all thoughts of him aside, just having everything a mare could want was a beautiful feeling. Although she did feel guilty, knowing she was as happy as could be, yet the quiet mare... Frostbite, that was her, she was so upset for some reason.

She sighed softly as the first rays of morning hit the ivory feathers on her wings and made it feel as if she was being wrapped in a warm fleecy blanket. Giggling despite herself, she kept her eyes on the sunrise.

Lothorien could see another serian in the distance. As he got closer he couldnt belive his eyes, It was Flit! He had hoped he would see her again but he hadn't expected it this soon or in this place. He thought he was the only one crazy enough to get up and watch the sunrise. This mornings was especially beautiful and even more so now that Flit was here.

He stood there knees trembling and heart pounding trying to get up the courage to go and talk to her. It took a minute but he finally decided to go ahead and talk to her. He had never felt this way about anyone before, but he liked it.

" Hi there! Mind if I watch with you?"

The next move was up to her, he just hoped she would like him... or at least be kind, even though he knew she was always kind.

A bright smile lit the small mare's face as she glanced upon the exact stallion she'd just been thinking about, Lothorien! So he liked the sunrise, too? That was great! Hiding her excitement best she could, she began to nod and looked at the spot next to her. "Not at all! I'd love some company." She realized her voice was a bit light and bubbly, and her speaking was a bit rushed, and this made her blush slightly.

She pulled her wings in to herself more and smiled, she had so many things she wanted to talk about, and even more now that Lothorien was concerned, it would be nice to get to just sit and talk and... She realized she was staring. How impolite! Quickly she cast her eyes back to the sunrise, it was just starting to get good.

Lothorien was so relived to see that she wanted to spend some time with him. Was his eyes playing tricks or did she blush. He smiled to himself as he saw her staring at him. She suddnly looked back to the sunrise so he sat down next to her and tucked his wings to his sides. After watching the sunrise for a minute and decided to break the silence. That is if it was silent, his heart was beating so fast and hard he was sure she would either hear it or see it beating out of his chest.

"So do you come here often to watch the sunrise?"
He wanted to find everything about her but he didn't want to seem to forward. But he was sure she'd be worth the risk.

His presence next to her gave off that warm blanket feeling again, and as his wings folded in they brushed against hers, it was a really neat feeling and she found that the tips of her wings drifted along his now and then, trying to be inconspicuous.

"All the time, or as often as possible. I also watch the sunset, usually at this same spot." It may have made her sound antisocial, but she really wasn't. Usually Beta or Sirensong would follow her out here and have girl talk with her while they watched the sunrise.

"What brings you out here today? Maybe it's just luck." She smiled and giggled, she hadn't meant to say the last part out loud, but she couldn't take it back now. Might as well just play it cool.

Lothorien smiled at her, she was so adorable. I just decided to pick a new spot to watch the sunrise today... and I'm really glad I wandered over here.

He thought he felt a slight brush of her wings on his but he didn't say anything, it send a shiver up his spine, but it was a good fealing. He always liked how it felt just to be near her.

He just hoped luck was on his side.
