Silver snorted defiantly. "There's a difference between being a momas foal and being respectful. One day, your arrogance is going to catch up to you, and when you really need someone's help, no one's going to be around. But I suppose you think you don't need any help," he said sarcastically, "After all, you've already learned everything." He swiveled around quickly and followed Chaos, deciding that he was going to stay until he could prove his point.

Following him to the stream, he cocked his eyes in a cocky manner. "If you think you're so smart, and you've learned EVERYTHING, then why don't you teach me how to fly?" he asked, rustling his wings impatiently as he waited for an answer.

Chaos simply snorted and rolled his eyes.

"You think you'd get the hint. Like, hmmm how tp put this, 'You've got your opinion I've got mine' and I really couldn't care less, okay?"

He settled himself down again and couldn't help but laugh.

"Alrighty then. You see that cliff over there? Jump off it, if you fly you've got the talent, if you don't tough luck. But hey, I don't have the 'equipment' anyways so, sorry I can't show you."

He stifled a laugh and looked rather smug. It was mean to have said something like that, but this idiot was ruining his day! When it was his time then he'd learn whatever babble they wanted to spill, until then he didn't need it!

He snorted angrily, and nudged Chaos, deliberately trying to provoke him. Lazy, arrogant foal.. he thought furiously.

"Hmmm...seems to me I didn't hear any clause in the remark you made to me. What was it? Some of us need to learn more than others? Prove it." He said challengingly. "It doesn't matter if you don't have the equipment. You should know how to do everything. That's what you said at least. Are you telling me that you're a liar, not to mention a coward? Why don't you teach me and jump off the cliff first!" he said, locking Chaos in a grip with his horns, rearing up and flipping him neatly. He eyed him angrily, adrenaline flowing. He was furious and ready for a fight with this little foal.

He stomped circles around Chaos, waiting for him to rise. His mother's warrioress blood was flowing through his veins now. There was no stopping him unless the parents arrived...he wouldn't hurt him of course, he just wanted to prove his point.

Chaos stertched and flicked his tai las he did so, catching the other on the left flank. The portruding spike was sharp and unpleasant to feel, but as he didn't actually try for painful it only bled a little. He merely tried for innocent and sighed.

"Oops, did I do that? Sorry about that little accident.. s for your remark, if you had any intelligence you'd realize for one thing, I didn't say I knew everything, only what I need to know myself, and being ahead is a plus... and for another thing you can't teach something you don't have the ability to do yourself."

He gave him an odd look, almost like trying ot figure out what SilverRain was.

"You really are dense, aren't you? Well anyway, I'm bored and I need to run so... ciao... and feel free to try teaching yourself.. heh."

Again he was being cruel, but he was just so bored! He could tell the foal was frustrated and it pleased him, although Chaos was egocentric and aloof generally, he was very calm and centered under pressure- which went a long, long way. He stood and reared up, showing off his promising form before storming across the grass. Ram had beaten Vapor in a few races, and so he didn't need to learn speed from her, either, he was naturally born with an abnormal amount of it.

SilverRain watched him go, a twinge of a smile playing across his face. At least he got the first move in, and for that, he was proud. He regarded his somewhat injured flank with a sniff and a smug grin. He had his first scar. It mattered nothing to him that he was bleeding, nor that he had gotten it from Chaos. He was just... well.. pleased.

He decided not to follow the foal, and shot him an evil look that said "You egocentric beast, I hope you trip and break your little neck, either that or your overly large head explodes." Which, for a look, was saying quite a lot....

All this earlier talk of wings had made him curious about flying again. He tested his wings experimentally, and gave them a flap. He wasn't ashamed of teaching himself. He didn't care how foolish he looked... he wanted to learn. He decided to give it a running jump, and pounded off across the grass, feet flying. With one giant leap, he was off of the ground. Spreading his wings, he hoped for the best.... and realized moments later that he wasn't touching the ground.

Whooping in delight, he pumped his powerful wings again, trying for height. When he gained a bit of it, he decided to see how far he could fly. Soaring low in the sky, he flew across the fields, gazing about, trying to gauge his position. He managed instead to spot Chaos romping about the fields. Shaking his head angrily, he soared overtop of him, landing quite a fair distance away. He settled beneath a shady tree, deciding to completely ignore the foal. After all, he wasn't worth his breath, nor his energy.

Chaos was not expecting it when a form came crashing into him, he had been staring up at SilverRain momentarily, and then he had returned his eyes to the ground when it happened. Vapor was picking herself up and grinning as she came over. 'Oh great, this looks even more boring than that really dense foal...' Vapor didn't have that 'I'm going to teahc you something important' look in her eyes, so Chaos found himself giving a puzzled look.

"Your uncle and I have decided that we shall camp out tonight.. I know you and Silver aren't getting along, but I'm proud of you for having such a wonderful temper! He can get a little hot headed at times, but trust me Chaos, he means well. As for you- you may be ahead now, but when it comes time for learning you will still have that attitdue, and it will slow you down considerably. If you don't learn things quick you'll reach adulthood before you know it, and then it's a fair bit harder."

Chaos nodded and watched Vapor go to a gathering of trees where Bridle waited. They nuzzled affectionately and Chaos tilted his head curiously. His thoughts were disturbed when he remembered where SilverRain was. He went bounding over, watching the stars overhead appear. He was beginning his teens soon and he found that he stumbled once. Daintily he examined a tight muscle in his leg and frowned. He made it to where SilverRain was and scraped the ground with a hoof. "Hey! We're staying here tonight, kind of like a camp-out. Actually I just heard a fire start, but they won't be expecting us until a little later anyway..." There, he hadn't been rude at all. In fact, it wasn't really that hard.

((Someone special will be joining them when they get to the adult stage in the rp ;) ))
