OOC| Yea, I only got like five minutes so this might be a bit summerized.

BIC| Sparkle glanced agian at Mist unable to help himself and felt the ache rising agian. darn him. He needed to get this energy out, and he needed it done now. The problem was that he wasn't quiet sure how to answer Hinote's question.

"Honestly I don't know. Start out like I'm trained in the lesser areas and if I get a beating then we'll know I'm not. I have moments when it looks like I might have been but I don't remember anything before I was abandoned."

He looked again at Mist and thought that he'd give anything to make her see. He needed this thing to start soon, as in now. He needed to move, to get the energy out. If he didn't he'd just start running and there was no telling when he'd stop. Well, actually there was; he'd stop when he couldn't so much as stand.

Snorting, he gave the stallion a hard look as he tried to keep himself under control, his eyes as cold as the arctic and at complete odds with his bright colors. For a moment he seemed as hard-hearted as Hinote. Sparkle really needed to find a way to deal with the tempest that raged inside of him and he wanted it to be fighting. All he had to do was keep control until he could start.

Hinote smiled slightly, glad to finally see the stallion had some bite in him. Without so much as a warning, he reared and lashed out violently with his front hoof, not as hard as he could but stronger than the blows he was using with Mist. It was the way true battle went, no warning, no second chances.

--

Mist saw Hinote begin, and hoped he wouldn't hurt Sparkle too much, and her friend would be able to defend himself against Hinote's onslaught. She smiled at Saphire.

"Well, there's one of the lessons there. Hinote teaches me by actions more than words. From waht I can gather, strike first. Most of the time the enemy is not goign to spare you, at least in our realm, and its best if you get the first damage, keep the upper hand. Fighters like Id can afford to use strategy, their skills are enough, but for learners, it's best to do all you can..."

She motioned at Hinote's strike. "There aren't any rules when you're really fighting..."

She watched Hinote's actions with interest, seeming to take in each motion. An ear was flicked in Mist's general direction, listening carefully.

Saphire could easily tell that the red stallion was holding back. "No rules? Can't be that hard to learn then." She sighed, glancing at Sparkle, concern flashing in her eyes for a split second.

She waited patiently for the other stallion to make his move, taking on a casual outer appearance.

Baring his teeth, Sparkle jumped sideways without so much as a thought though he still caught the outside force of it. Now this was a way to distract himself. Or at least a way to focus. As he jumped he kicked out, the blow headed straight for Hinote's chest and stomach as he chomped at the air. He pulled back a little at the last second but not too much. After all, Hinote was a trained warrior. Even at full force Sparkle probably wouldn't even phase him. And there was no guarantee that he would even hit him. The stallion was certianly fast.

Hinote shifted at the last second before the blow, hoping to throw the stallion off balance. He felt the hoof graze his shoulder slightly. Mist, with her speed, probably could've pulled off a full dodge, but he was a larger build than she. In the midst of his shift he twisted his body sideways, getting near behind Sparkle, but careful to avoid the range of a back hoove kick. He reared again, aiming a light blow with his hooves at the other stallion's back.

Mist watched the fight, strangely calm. For most females of her attitude, they would be giddy with fear and concern, as maybe she would've been during her first days. But she had changed with this training. She did still feel concern for the two males, but she also observed this battle with the intent of learning what she could.

"See," she said, no forgetting her obligation as an instructor. "Most of the basics are displayed in the fight. Kicking, lashing, anything with the hooves causes the most damage. The more wight you can put in it, the better."

He was glad that he'd held back as Hinote manages to miss most of his strike. Sparkle landed hard on his front hooves and immediantly dropped his back ones when Hinote went out of his eye site. He was totally absorbed in the fight and though is was clear that he wasn't fully trianed he was pretty good.

Pulling his hooves under him as he dropped his back side he used them for leverage to push off and up, earning a hard hit in the ribs that he didn't notice and aimed his teeth at Hinote's neck. If the stallion moved forward to intercept then he'd still get a bite and if he tried to move back then it would give Sparkle the upper hand that Hinote had gained by attacking first.

He saw Mist and Saphy out of the corner of his eye and made sure that if he wound up rolling on the ground he wouldn't hit them. He was no expert and it was a very real possibility that he could be seriously hurt. At the moment he didn't care.
