Enter Bridle...

Take your Serians here to chat or just roam their homeland.
The sun glitters above vast fields ringed by verdant forests to the north, mountains to the south and east, and wide rivers to the west.

Enter Bridle...

Post by Talia »

He peered cautiously through the wooded underbrush adjacent to the fields. He felt foolishly nervous for hiding when he should be enjoying the day, but his little experience with other Serians had him quite flustered.

He snorted in annoyance. His quick scan of the fields had found....nothing. There was no one in sight! He flicked his ears back perturbly. Curse that Talia for insisting that he go socialize himself!

He gave himself a few moments to let his quick temper fizzle, and the side of himself that listened to reason returned. *Perhaps I'll just wait here a bit longer,* he thought. *Someone is bound to show up eventually.*

Coral noticed another figure entering the fields. Didn't seem like this one had noticed her.

She peered closer. Oooh... Handsome boy. :D

Deciding to saunter out instead of gaze from afar, Coral walked up on the newcomer.

"Hey, there, I'm Coral," she introduced herself and did a bit of fancy hoofwork that looked somewhat like a curtsy. "Who might you be?"

Bridle's head snapped up in surprise. He hadn't seen her arrive at all! I must be getting slower...he thought, slightly annoyed with himself. His annoyance vanished when he took a closer look at the mare that had approached him.

She was, by far, one of the prettiest females he had ever laid eyes on! Perhaps Talia won't get quite the verbal bashing that I had originally planned for he thought. She was like a dancer. Her casual elegance startled him, and he was entranced by the way she moved. He whinnied a greeting, but almost instantly turned bashful again. After all, the only contact he had had with Serians had been his family. Head ducked low, he seemingly talked to the ground, eyes peering up every now and again to punctuate his stuttering.

"I...um....my name is.... umm..." he paused, and then suddenly blurted out,"you can call me Bridle!"

His shameful behaviour towards the mare made him annoyed, and he stomped his hoof irritably-an old habit of his-but quickly stopped. He didn't want her to think he was annoyed with her...that just wouldn't do...first impressions are always important! He sighed in exasperation and frustration at his lack of social graces.

Coral mentally chuckled. He hadn't noticed her arrival, and somehow that pleased her. Practicing that light stepping must have helped!

He stuttered somewhat. She wasn't sure what to think of that. But she could always hope he was flustered by her a bit. ;) First impressions were important, but she wasn't going to judge everything on them, for sure!

"Bridle? Okay, Bridle it is."

She looked at him and was tempted to wink, but thought that might be a bit forward. "So..." she tried not to stare. "I like your coat pattern." She giggled. "What brings you to this particular place?"

Her eyes wandered around some. She hadn't had much time to explore the area herself! And she was quite curious as to whether any water was to be found in the near vicinity of their current location.

He was becomming more at ease with Coral. Her playful and direct mannerisms were amusing and he found it easier to loosen up around her. He straightened up and shook the grass off of his coat, seeing as he had forgotten to do so when he had flown into a panic. He tried to supress a laugh when grass went flying haphazardly, the majority of it landing on Coral! He chuckled softly. He couldn't help it.

"I apologize, for the grass and myself. I'm not very good at introductions," he said, preforming a slight bow of some sorts. He winked roguishly at her, taking a gamble that she wouldn't be offended. "I like your coat pattern too-grass is quite stylish on you! As to what I'm doing in this place...well... my blasted Bondmate insisted that I "socialize" myself. I'm obviously a bit out of touch."

He had noticed her glancing around earlier, and wondered if she was looking for something.

"Would you like to take a look around perhaps? I haven't really explored this area at all yet... "

She snorts, steps a bit away from him, exaggerating her movements, and shakes the grass off of herself. "Eww! You got me dirty," she states, in an obviously teasing tone.

She batts her eyes, going off of his wink. "You really think it looked stylish?" Overbearingly sugar-sweet voice. "Well, I don't want to be too hip." A giggle and loss of all the exaggerated movements and voices follows. It's easy to tell because her muscles stop looking as tense.

"Seriously, now, no need to appologize," she grins. Her facial expression changes a bit while she's listening to him complain.

"Hmm. I came here on my own accord... especially since it seems two others from the realm I'm now at have traveled here as well. Didn't want to let myself get out of the loop." The grin returns to her face and she swishes her tail jovily.

"I'd love to look around, especially if I get an escort," she winked, returning the gesture from earlier. "Shall we?"
