A Harvest Moon

Take your Serians here to chat or just roam their homeland.
The sun glitters above vast fields ringed by verdant forests to the north, mountains to the south and east, and wide rivers to the west.

Her eyes narrowed further at his refusal to grant her request. She eyed him up and down slowly, before breathing out with a disappointed sigh. "You're not one for stories, I can see. But I doubt you handle silence well either, Dart." She was intrigued by this young stallion and his air of arrogance.
And when all the world came back,
And the light crept up between the shutters,
And you heard the sparrows in the gutters,
You had such a vision of the street
As the street hardly understands.

He watched her reaction a smile playing at the corner of his mouth. "Very true, Miss Earth." His voice changing to a mocking tone. Wow she was a good observer or a quick learner, lets see what she does next.

The light sound of hooves carried across the breeze, only barely proceeding the vibrant gold coat that seemed to glow slightly in the chill night air.

After a moment there was a true glow to be seen, a faint shimmering from a tail ring. How long had it been since the sun-bright mare had ventured on her own was beyond her, but she was this night, at the very least.

Her thoughts were awkward, broken. Strange things had occurred recently. She had actually felt.. Submissive.

It was fleeting, but honest. There was no core change within her, she knew that for a fact, but the fact remained that she had let her walls down enough to be so willing to please as to submit to someone. It was strange.. And perhaps slightly frightening even while it exhilarated her.

Ah, distractions! Two others were just ahead, a tender brown mare that was pleasing to look upon, and the harsh red and white stallion who's spine she had nearly snapped before.

She was in a gentle mood this night, and in any case the mare looked pleasant enough. Perhaps she could dare another encounter without trying to finish what had been started before.

"Mind if I join you?"

Miss Earth? Hmmm. She liked that.

Another mare came up, resplendent in her golden coat and tribal markings. She seemed extremely sweet, and yet in an odd way, broken. There was a distant look on her face, and she simply couldn't deny the request.

"Of course not," the brown mare replied, dark forelock falling in her eyes. "We're simply watching the water."

Dart ears swiveled away from the lake at the sound of approaching hooves. He did not look, and would not until they spoke, he would just listen to the come over. Though a small angered, annoyed and surprised shiver ran from his head to tail and hooves. He knew who had just arrived, "Correction here, Miss mud here is watching the 'sparkling lake' and waiting for 'something'," he said in a teasing tone still looking at the mare in front of him. Then he turned his head to look at the golden mare his eyes held attitude and a bit of rage in them but did not feel like acting on it right yet. He wanted to see what would happen. "Hello, Miss Sun. 'Nice to see you out at the dark of night." he said in a sly welcoming voice.

A small, irritated flick of her ear was the only recognition the stallion got from her, along with a rather cold "Quite." It was surprising how cold her deep voice could be, especially if one considered her warm appearance.

"I was taught by someone very close to me that there are fantastic shows to be seen in such things, if one would only look," Path rumbled to the mare. Her voice was more suited for the light, she knew, with the deep, carrying timbre of it, but for once she didn't mind. She had found she didn't quite mind a few other things as well, not since Pixie had managed to pry his way passed her walls. Not since he got close enough to her for her to be so willing, so.. Submissive.

That word again. Strange, but somehow not unwelcome. She was still Path and would ever remain such, yet now she was.. Softer.

Yes. Softer. Just as the moonlight's rippling dance over the water's surface was softer than the vibrant play of sunlight.

"I am Path, by the way, and please excuse my poor manners. It has been an interesting night so far already."

Nickering, she settled next to the other mare before deciding to give this.. Immature male a chance.

After all, she was softer now.

"I left you room, Dart, in case you decide to join us."
