Soft laughter fell from her lips, leaving behind a large grin and a playful look in her eyes. She couldn't remember the last time she had actually laughed...

"I could get used to you, boy," was stated as she pranced sideways with her tail slightly cocked up, a playful wink thrown in his direction. She had caught the way he watched her switch flawlessly from one mask to the other, like a masquarade ball. The mare would not lie, she had lots of practice. Who knows, if he plays his cards right she might just show him the Saphire lingering behind the bruises and gashes.

Not many people knew about her.

"It all depends on where you wanna learn," Her eyes rolled up, as if trying to see the answers in her mind as she thought of destinations they could go, "There's a bunch of rivers not too far away in the west, there's a beach to the north of us... and the mountions are to the east of the Fields. Any of them catch your fancy?"

This Shamrock fellow was an interesting one, she would give him that. She sort of wished she could read his mind, especially when the look of confusion crossed over him. Where was Ether when she needed him? He was always better at reading others then she was... But she was better at not scaring the crap out of them.

If he weren't trying to act like the stallion he was instead of the colt, he would've beamed. She didn't seem to mind his play at all! So he danced around her some more, just letting off some energy. Now, now, wouldn't want to spoil you, he teased. Girl like you needs to keep on her toes, you know.

He had to shake off the feeling she was mocking him, knowing it was probably silly. But there was something in her air and manner... it was like she just knew things. And then he realized she wore masks too. She had seemed pretty natural to him; must be very experienced at this.

She'd certainly perfected the face he often tried at. It made people wonder, made them more aware of themselves. He knew she was probably too guarded to really let herself go, but hopefully she could find some enjoyment in the day.

"Well", he said aloud as he considered, "there's water in all of those areas, for the mountains will have springs here and there... I'd warn you that I'm fair dangerous in a waterfight, but somehow, milady, I believe should hold off on that particular boast. Otherwise I may end up harming my pride rather severely. I get the feeling I should not underestimate you."

"You know these lands far better than I. Is there any place you think better suited to entrances than the others?"
Emerald eyes gleamed as he held in a laugh and awaited her decree, dancing quietly all the while.

She grinned, wondering if she was the reason he was changing so dramatically. He was gaining an attitude of his own, and she liked it.

"My wounds are badges of pride," Her head was held high again, her grin widening a tad. Her aqua coat was like a canvas stretched over her bones, the artist splashing numerous painful looking colours over her skin. "You are right my dear, to not take me lightly. I've spent most of my life around Warriors and Rogues, and I've had my fair share of fights, with and without water," She laughed again, mocking herself moreso then anything else. With her expression gradually relaxing, she shrugged and provided him with the answer to a decision he had not made.

"To the beach, then? It's easier to make a splash off the docks," Her suggestion, whether he took it or not. From his words she would assume that he favoured the mountains, but she favoured the sand and warmth. Sometimes she wished she didn't though, they had brought the farthest things from happiness to her.

Her eyes flickered a moment and she cast him an almost weary smile, "I think you should be more concerned about your own toes, my friend, I have a feeling there will be more surprises in store for you."

OOC| cool beans :D Good luck with your show!

BIC|He was definitely beginning to more comfortable in his own skin now, and he knew she could tell. Just as he watched her, so she watched him. His head cocked again as he considered her remark, wondering what all she’d been through. “Your skin isn’t your only canvas my dear, and I think perhaps it may not be the most colorful nor the most interesting one.” He looked at his own hide, dappled with the shamrocks that inspired his name. No scars to be seen there as of yet.

The prancing paused as he grew thoughtful. “I’ve never met either. Warriors or Rogues, I mean. And most of my fights have been with water and in play. I guess you could say I’m a greenie.” He grinned widely at the bad joke, wondering if he'd lose any of her respect from his lack of experience with such things. Tenderfoot, indeed.

Glad she didn’t mind making the decision, he nodded enthusiastically. “Sounds like fun to me!” He watched her faces again and was determined to lighten things if he could. “Indeed I shall be wary of my toes, but I do at least have some idea of how little I know. It’s a step in the right direction. Lead on, milady.” He took up his dancing again, jigging and making a show of keeping his toes tucked in as though he were trying to hide them. "No, ma'am. You shan't have my toes!"

It took all of about four steps before he stumbled. His body dipped dangerously toward the ground before he caught himself and glared fiercely at the ground. Only his pride had been hurt, but why did this always happen at the worst times? He'd have to be careful or the hide he's just noticed was spotless would have a scar to display, and it wouldn't be the badge of honor kind.

There was no hope that she wouldn’t have seen it, but he couldn’t bring himself to look up. Sheepish as could be, he took his jig right back up where he'd left off - though slightly more rigidly - as he deliberately attempted to regain some composure. No red could show through the green, but if it could he’d have looked remarkably like a tomato. “So. Anyway. Ahem. What were you saying?” He nickered to clear his throat, finally daring to look up before bursting into laughter.
