"Up the mountains, through the meadows, or skirting the meadows to the forest beyond?" He pulled her forelock gently, as if to make them start the walk.

"Wherever. As long as I'm with you." She smiled up at him, then started off at a brisk trot, glancing at him over her shoulder.

Fleet easily caught up with her. "How about skirting the meadows? That way is the longest." He gazed deep into her eyes, hoping she felt all the passion he felt go through his gaze. How he wanted that moment to never end.

She felt herself hesitate under his gaze. "Umm.. Sure, why not." She broke into a lope, attempting to get some space between him and herself.

Fleet was puzzled. She had seemed so...calm and happy before, and now she was nervous and hesitant. Has he done something wrong? He broke into a lope, but sensing she wanted to be alone, dropped down to a trot. What was wrong with him?

She could feel his eyes on her, and shuddered, a swift chill running down her spine. She broke down to a walk, waiting for him to catch up. She acted as if nothing was up. "Something wrong?" She asked, tilting her head and flicking back an ear, looking oh so innocent.
