She shrugged, and swiftly removed a snowflake from the tip of her ear with a twitch. She took a couple steps out of the cave opening, gazing up at the sky.
" Some say we're better off without
Knowing what life is all about
I'm sure they'll never realize the way
It's too late."
She glanced back at him, the smirk had formed once more in to her kiddish grin.

Singing again, but he didn't mind. She did have a good voice, it wasn't as if it weren't enjoyable. He moved out of the cave to stand by her side, looking out at the contrast of the sun and snow, the coldness and the warmth. So many times those two had been juxtaposed, in him and those around him.
"She’s taking her time making up

Guess she knows from the smile
And the look in their eyes
Everyone’s got a theory about the
Bitter one..."

He trotted further into the snow, the biting cold nearly coming up to his knees. He turned to face her, devilishily ablaze in the sunlight. "Try to lose the bitterness, firebrand. It won't bring you any good, it hasn't for me."
He turned from her and started to leave, toward the east and the desert beyond the cold.

"Bitterness is what keeps alot of us alive." She grumbled, turning her head away to glare at the snow on her right.
"Like me." She added under her breath, and glanced at him from the corner of her eye. A hint of concern flickering behind her firey red pupils, but it quickly extinguished.
The mare hung her head, preparing for some more... 'Thinking' time, and took off at a slow lope, heading along the hill's base.
