Smiling Pixie thought of just how cute she was.... wait, why did it matter? It wasn't like she needed his approval or anything. He desperatly needed to get his head out of the clouds and be serious. Trying to consentrate on what she was saying to more energy than he cared to admit. Her voice was so cute, it wasn't high pitched and fake like most females voices were. It was down to earth and real and it set his heard beating wildly.

What on earth was he thinking?? Like he asked himself earlier Why did it matter.

"Well I think you dance beautifully."
In fact he thought that she was beautiful so he decided to flirt a little. After all what could it hurt? "You know, your quite beautiful yourself. I know that we just met but how would you feel about going for a walk and just.... well.... getting to know each other?" He gave her his most charming smile and moved closer to her so his face was only a few inches from hers. Then he gave her a playful nudge with his nose just to hopefully keep her interested.

Oh my. Oh my, oh my, oh my. Be still my beating heart. Okay, so I'm interested, and he's wonderfully attractive, and I'm so close to being seduced it's pathetic, but that's no reason to loose my head. Struggling to control her breathing, Path tossed her main a little, forgetting about hidding her hungry eyes as she tried to keep her heart in her chest. He was beautiful, yes, but she was still cautious.

"If that's what you want, would you mind if we went into the woods? I....I'm sorry, but I really do need to dance. It helps me."

So, she was giving him a chance. So he wanted to walk with her. So what? It didn't mean he was intersted. It didn't mean anything. And she still wasn't sure about the way he made her feel, or about anything to do with him. Sometimes she was too reserved, but at the moment she was simply thrown off balance. Maybe it was just a moment she was having because of her dancing? Maybe. Or she might just be attracted to this stallion. It was a new, and slightly fun feeling.

As they started to walk off Pixie felt a little funny so he walked faster than he normally would. Once he got a little ahead of her he stopped and waited. Not once in all of his time flirting had he ever felt this agitated. He couldn't think of any reason that she would make him feel any different than others would. As they approached the forest he couldn't think of anything to say. So he lamely asked. "Soooo.... how long have you been dancing?" he turned his head away and rolled his eyes. That was the stupidest question he could've asked. She'd probably think he was a total loser now. Great!!

He was incurably cute. Path wouldn't have pegged him to be the nervous sort but it was adorable on him. Just like she wasn't shy but she still hid her talent.

"For as long as I can remember," she muttered. Her deep voice was destracted, and she couldn't help but think that this new emotion, whatever it was and however long it lasted required a new area on her dance. Without anything more than this thought she'd started moving, heading deeper into the trees and laughing as she came within a hair's distance to where he stood. Keep to the light, that's what was important. Always keep to the light while in the darkness.

"It's something that just is for me," she explianed, no longer thinking enough to realize she was speaking. Path was Path in her dances, no formalities, no guard. She just was. "It's where I let go and feel, where I let out emotions I can't name or place, where I don't have to worry about nicities. Oh!"

Laughing like a fool, she twisted around, nearly stumbling as she pranced to the next patch of light that was shared by Pixie. She wanted them to touch, something she didn't understand or care to try, but it was something that influenced her movement. She lost herself in the motions, in the rhythem, in what was, and let her voice ring like so many bells through the trees, comming back to tease her ears as she nearly flipped and skimmed a small, hard looking hoof over the ground. She was free, as free as she'd ever be, and it felt so very good.

He couldn't believe how open Path was being. He had thought that she would think that his question had been stupid but now... now she was dancing for him when earlier she had said that she didn't dance for just anyone. Did that mean that she liked him? That she was comfortable around him? As he watched her dance and sing out in freedom he longed to dance too. When he could resist it no longer he ran out into the sunlight and started dancing with her. Twisting and turning and laughing to his hearts content. Oh how Thor would make fun of him if he could only see him now. No dont think about Thor, dont ruin the moment. Pushing the thoughts of him out of his mind he continued to dance until he was to exausted to move anymore. He plopped onto the soft forest floor and lay there thinking that he could stand to do this for the rest of his life.

He held still at that thought. Why would he be thinking about doing this for the rest of his life, he had just met Path and there was no reason for him to think that she would want anything more than friendship, if even that. As he stood he apologized "Sorry about that. I dont know what came over me, I just wanted to join in all of a sudden. I hope you dont mind." All he could do at that moment was blush and dig his hoof into the ground while inwardly scolding himself for being so careless. Maybe I should just leave he thought just maybe...

It was lovely to move to her own rhythm, and wonderful that Pixie should feel what she felt. But the need to do so, to be free for just a few precious moments had overpowered her. Now Path only wanted to sink into the soft, pine scented earth and dissapear. Pixie had seen her dance, had actually danced with her. Why that thought made her heart flutter she couldn't say and didn't think of.

Okay, she thought, trying desperatly to pull herself together. Okay, physical attraction yes, and definate sparks when it comes to dancing, but he shouldn't have seen that in the first place. And you don't know who he is under that tempting hide. So take it easy, use your head, and ignore that urge to close your eyes and jump in with all four feet.

"No--I--I don't mind. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that, I don't know why I did." Maybe it's just because I feel so natural around you. Maybe it didn't seem to matter so much a moment ago. Maybe I just needed a release because of how the morning's been. Maybe alot of things.

"Listen, you wanted to walk. If you're willing to forget my moment of insanity I'm still willing to go walking. Again, I'm sorry."

And how contradictory her words were to her still wandering eyes. Yes, there was a physical attraction and it was a strong one for her, but she wasn't someone who easily gave up her secrets. But then, perhaps this Pixie would know how to get to her. She certainly hoped so if this was any indication of what could be between them.
