they couldn't hold it. the orb shook and trmbled and then split open with a sound like a sonic boom. the creatures fell to the earth as the Korech started rushing the skies, desperate to get away from the humans and their defeat. it was perfect. the energy to do what they had had very nearly killed them in the effort but the task had been accomplished. thank the lord for Nico's instinct. now they just had to get out of there.

they had made it out okay. in the mad rush and scramble of all the creatures they had managed to make it home. now they sat around a warm fire in Shegani in the one place there where fire ruled. they were hanging out with the Pheonix king and he was listening as they unwound the story to both absorb and understand it.
