yea, i wrote a poem to try and win some prize money and never thought i'd hear back but i'm a finalist! here it is...

Rolling Loss

A life well spent is a life well earned,
for who but the strong shall
work to prove they are worthy,
as worthy to life as fruit on a tree?

such fruit are, themselves, strong;
many, with tough uouter flesh, which long
have endured the storms of night
and hard-cored pits, withstanding all might.

yet beneath the flesh, one can find
great discoveries of wonderous kind.
simular as fuit may be,
there lies a softness, before unseen.

such strength through life so how, oh, how,
can this mighty fruit give so noble a bow
and give the tenderness within
to that most hardened of all, to men?

ya like? oh, and if you think about it water has many colors...green, blue, white, even a little yellowish. the colors are how the Songhu is supposed to be ever flowing. (i like to make my readers think )
and she's right, that really was creative...you might want to keep a stricter stanza next time but they were cute when y'all are ready i'll go on.

just think about those fancy light shows, the way the light plays across everyone's face...

"are you sure you want to do this?"

Sekyra smiled at her new friend, thinking wanely that it always took a certain amount of time for new people to get used to her. she was cautios but wasn't at all afraid to take risks. and what she had planned was the ultimate in risky.

"really, i think this Talisrun isn't such a good friend if he told you-"

"He didn't tell me" Sekyra intoned, "he just gave me the idea."

"he should have advised against it."

"honestly, Gorth, i'd think you'd know better by now. it'd just be a waist of breath. besides he told me to be carefull...not that i needed reminding. and i usually am anyway."

"USUALLY?"

Sekyra just smiled. then, without a backwards glance, she took a risk.
