Hee Hee.... you'll see
He had sensed earlier that she was annoyed, maybe even angry, with him. When she spoke, even the little bit she did, it was with such malice that he had wanted to turn around and run back into the forest. Yet he knew that wouldn't solve anything, unless he found someone else, that was a lot nicer, to take him. Since he was here and had already asked, or told, her about his being lost, he figured that he could just wait it out and get away from her as soon as possible. But then again, whit if they met sometime, somewhere else, after he was more established and said something rude in front of his friends, that was if he ever made any. No, he made up his mind "That would be fine, thank you". He purposely made his voice cold so it would seem like he hadn't noticed, or didn't care, about her sharp tone. Inside it was killing him to seem mean but he wouldn't be seeing her again. At home he had been tough but always, even now, been loving and kind. With the late tragedy in his life he had lost a lot of his confidence and his tough exterior had crumbled away, which was something he meant to fix.... soon! No he had made up his mind, once he got back to someplace he knew he would take off and keep going to somewhere where no one knew him and he could start fresh. That was it, he was going.
Switching 'people' (so to speak)
When had her life become so complicated. One minute she's in her paradise swimming and the next she's bitter and being mean to someone. She had learned long ago that life could come on you fast, turn around, and kick you in the butt. Maybe this stallion didn't want to be friendly, he seemed stunned at first but now he had a cold edge to his voice. Sighing she said "Fine follow me". Now she was able to keep the frustration out of her voice so all there was now was resignation to the fact that she was going to help him. When had she become so distant and almost unfeeling. She had asked herself that question hundreds of times ever sense she came to this land, she had tried to change but somehow she never could and that was the sad but true fact. As she walked along she hung her head in sorrow and thought about her parents. It was true that they had bee more concerned about their having fun than her, but they had loved her in spite of themselves. Leaving them had been one of the toughest, but the best, decision she had ever mad. She longed for her homeland and her friends there. She had once known a foal, stallion, that she had been sure she loved. They had gone and done everything together and occasionally entertained the idea of becoming mates. She had ran away from home before she had even reached adult hood. As she thought back on these choice memories a tear slipped out of her eyes she quickly turned her head so he couldn't see. It always hurt her right down to the core when she thought of her foal time crush. He had always been rough and ready for anything, his color had resembled, quite accurately, that of cannabis's. All of a sudden her breath caught in her thought, cannabis, the name struck something inside of her. It couldn't be......... could it?
Sorry I had to put a teaser
