Fiona looked up at the display of leaves hypnotized. In a dream she started to answer the question. "I was born with the power to change into a wolf. But it wasnt until my 5th birthday i was given my own teacher, who taght me all about the power of the vilage, then about the power of each and every person in the vilage, then about how i was to use my power i was given, as every person in the vilage can change into there own given creature. I had many lessons, untill i reached my 6th birthday, then came my final lesson. I had allready been taught how to change and practiced many times. But before each person is six, it wont work, so on my birthday i tried my change, it worked. But my creature was a wolf and....." She saw the leaves start tearing each other appart and was broken from the trance.

She allready new she had said to much, now she felt she had given her life away. She bowed her head in shame.

It sounded like an old culture, one that was foolilshly superstitious. That there should be trouble from the form of a wolf told her about past troubles, old fears, ancient magic. This young one was indeed haunted, though she had as of yet to come to terms with her shadows. That made her dangerous; there was no telling who would win that battle.

Still, Songhue was sympathetic with her, remembering the times after the End War where she herself was lost. Distance would be best in this case, but so far she didn't think it neccisary to flee. Caution. That's what would happen at the moment, and this shy and self-concience female would show how well she could handle being around them.

But here came a welcome distraction, the little mouse back from foraging with a single blueberry still clutched in her front paws. Small as it was it looked like a boulder next to her. The little mother twittered softly at the three of them, with Songhue whispering an answer in the same odd way she had before. The mouse, Mrs. Nimh if she'd felt Wolfy's thoughts correctly, tilted her head and dodged a few feet away from her house and her babies. In fact, she went straight for Wolfy, sniggling under her chin before climing up to the relative safety of her ears. Songhue smiled softly, wondering at herself. This little one had developed quite the fixation upon thier Wolfy.

Storm patiently and affectionatly allowed the mouse to scramble all over her... Though it did tickle a bit. :)
"Ah Mrs. Nimh you're back... Oh that's a find! Why if it has a chance to dry a little, it could last you a week's worth of meals." She spoke ever so softly in a low rumbly voice so she wouldn't deafen the poor mouse or scare the babies.
"Have you a chance to see if the build suits you yet?" She looked a bit funny with her eyes somewhat crossed from trying to look at the little creature sitting between her ears.

To all the world she must seem a dotty old wolf talking to herself under her breath. And if that was the case, she wouldn't have mind it at all.
Some times it was even an accurate description of who and what she was.
Other times... Well, appearances were some times useful when they were at their most deceptive.

The little mouse tittered softly, nuzzling Wolfy's fur with her nose before running down a forleg and dashing inside to put away her findings. Songhue grinned slyly, tilting her head at the pair and feeling slightly ill; all this emotion was a little much for her.

"She loves it, loved it when she first got here, and wants to check on her little ones before she comes back to tell again how much she loves it. I think you did well, Wolfy."

Shaking her head a little she watched as the little mouse appeared again and danced happily between Wolfy's front paws. She was still slightly amazed that she'd made a wolf friend. And, of course, occupied as she was she'd stopped noticing the youngest wolf, though Songhue had continued to watch like a hawk.

Fiona smiled kindly at this little creature and the friendship it had grown between the older wolf. It truly was a touching site. But something deep down, something she hadnt felt before wanted to reach her thoughts. She could tell the thing deep down was telling her the mouse was supperto tell her to jump and kill while she had the chance. Fiona tried to force the thought away, tried to tell herself this was not an eating mouse. She'd been vegetarian up to this point, why had her mind suddenly changed?

She closed her eyes to try and tell herself the mouse wasnt there, but all her bad memories closed in around her. She opened them again with a look of panick. Even though she tried to show everyone nothing was wrong. The thought about killing the mouse was gone, but in its place were the memories of everything that people had done to her out of fear and hatred over her past. She wanted to kill theese people now, she wanted to go back in time and do something to them. Anger was boiling up in side her, she took a deep breath and tried to focus on how happy the little mouse was, it helpped a bit, and a little smile spread acos her face again. The anger inside her cooled, and focusing on the mouse ment not focusing on all the memories. For now, battle against insanity was won.

An odd reaction, one that raised her hackles a little bit, made her shimmer under the cover of the tree. Without a sound she shifted smoothly into a white and pale, pale yellow tigress There was no black, no orange, nothing other than her two colors. But it something about the taste of the air, the tension in the winds warned her of potential trouble.
