Centering

Breathing deep of the earth redolent air, Songhue the capuchin went through the motions of Tai Chi, fighting to empty her mind. The sun rises, the crain comes down, the tiger trikes. Earth and pine and sea water not too far off. A world away from the man that lived in her second home. There was no shouting, no cursing, no calling of names and offended tantrums that made her loved ones cry.

Exhaling, she turned slowly, her muscles straining from the stiff control that was required for such deliberate movements, and continued to focus. This monkey form was sweet looking and kind, one that always helped her to find her center, her Chi. Another thing that helped was to practice her magic skills while she went through the movements, making small natural things dance around her in reflection of her emotions. A breeze sang through the highest of the leaves, smelling of salt and sand from the beach. Slowly, slowly, she started to relax, the dance of pines, needles, leaves, and twigs becomming far more fluid as her emotions calmed.

The air around Storm's body quietly hummed with energy at first as she balanced in half wolf/half hume form... A natural state for her kind... Neither one thing or the other. She appeared as a wolf in a lightly shapely hume fem form and standing on two legs.
Her thick mane of hair swayed lightly as she moved in time with her staff... Slow steady movements. Calmly gently asking her to become one with the staff and its motion.
~THRUM THRUM~ went the staff as her movements picked up speed.
~Tap Thrum Thrum Tap~ The whirling picked up pace, the tapping where she bounced the staff on the ground before whirling it again taking up the sound of a steady strong heartbeat. She began to move as though dancing... Weaving in and out with the staff as her partner. The sound of her and the staff's movements picking out the tune; a merry Celtic sound.
She began to hum along... The Song of Heart and Battle.

Songhue stiffend in mid-transition, a slight frown creasing her forhead as the winds stilled around her. She'd heard something, something that was odd for this part of the woods; there, it came from just over that way.

She straightend up, sweat glistening lightly on her body, and tucked a strand of fur behind her ear as her sharp hearing picked up on sounds that reported some sort of ritual. Edging closer she got to the rim of a clearing before peeking into a shadowed thistle and seeing the man's face. It made her jump, her mouth tightening into a thin line of hate before easing back into the frown. It was just a sleeping doe.

She was still far from centered. Whatever might be waiting just a few paces away would have to wait; she was in no state to fight, the stranglehold she had her temper slipping steadily into blind rage. Taking a deep calming breath she started moving agian, focusing as her body glistend with strain, concentrating on working out the worst of the tension. She could investigate later. For now she had to keep to her most important rule; always keep hold of your temper.

OOC| He was mentioned in the first post. It's fitting actually, cuz this hasn't been the best weekend. Poison says she just wants to watch right now; she's not feeling very creative, but she might jump in later on.

On a happier note though, I got a steady girlfriend today, so I'm floating about that. It's lovely to have a date you know you can depend on. :)

Poison Ivy had been walking earlier that morning when she came upon someone doing Tai Chi, and there she had sat, watching her, unnoticed and undesturbed. Once she had thought that she would be descoverd but then hadn't. She inwardly wished that she knew the art of Tai Chi but had never been so lucky as to learn. It looked so peaceful that she was desperate to learn but........ but.... ah choo. Oh no, she had sneezed and now she was almost certain that she would be descoverd.
