OOC| I very much hope that it's alright if i join you... I've been debating as I don't wish to slow you down >.< I am trusting that if you become displeased you will let me know, and I promise I shall poof straightaway =]

BIC| A butterfly, or what appears to be a butterfly, of bright orange and deepest black floated innocently through the air, playing in the last rays of bright sunshine. It would not be too long before the sun began its grand finale of mingling hues, kissing the sky goodnight and letting herself be wrapped up in dusk's arms.

All of a sudden, however, the tiny air current she was gliding on gave an unnatural whoosh! as something of colossal size - to the butterfly, mind you - barreled through the air in a swish of tangy magic and high speed. The butterfly swirls in the disruption, caught and jerked around in a tiny whirl in the air before regaining control and heading instinctively in the opposite direction. Within moments she flickered into the largest hawk she could muster and headed for a tree on the nearby bank.

Vineda, the butterfly now turned hawk, passed the tree she'd been aiming at and flew into the boughs of a healthy pine tree. She knew she was much less likely to be seen here once the branches stopped swaying in her wake, and she needed a moment to let the adrenaline set loose by her dangerous encounter abate. And despite feeling as though curiosity might just kill the cat this time around, she still simply had to find out what that thing was!

OOC | Despite One's jokes on solitude and his unwillingness to share Songhue  , One is quite fond of others joining in on his Tale. It would not be a Tale otherwise. One hopes that many will join in for that would make it a true story. One is very excited you have finally decided to flicker in. :D Stay as long as you like and come back often.

But alas, One does not think it is his turn, so this interjection will be all you get for now.

OOC| *supersnugs* You're fine! ^^

BIC| Songhue shifted midflight, clicking her beak as she landed on the ground as a werewolf again. She headed for the water at a slow lope, moving on all fours as she had before. Stopping right at the water's edge, she stretched and glanced over her shoulder for a moment. She could have sworn she felt some sort of disturbance while she was flying, some extra bump in the air.

She had to smile as she watched Waterlily enjoying the lake. He seemed such an innocent creature.

"There were no apples back home," Songhue murmured as she accepted the treat, absently scraping her claws over the delicate flesh. "Nor did we speak in this tongue. Long and long, has it been since my birthlands were last seen."

She smiled slightly here, trying to gather her courage. If ever there was a time for stories it was now, in the hour of dusk. She could tell stories, and often did. She was good at it, in all actuality. Her own story made her nervous as no other could, though.

Was she imagining things, or did she feel a touch of magic in the air, a familiar kiss of natural powers?

"Dost thou feel that?"

She paused and shook her head, looking through the nearby trees. She could feel the life of the plants, of the frogs half-hidden in the mud, of Waterlily; and of something else. Waterlily really seemed to thrive near the water, now that she was taking conscious note of things. There were so many memories tied into this, into sensing someone nearby, tasting the magic in the air and recognizing a familiar style that it sent chills up her spine.

"Would that these chills would cease..."

As waterlily gave Songhue the apple, he noticed that her leg was indeed bothering her. *One can help heal your leg if you so desire it of me.* Waterlily's Shape-shifting ability allows for the regeneration of broken or bruised limbs during a transformation. This would only help him though. To address her issue, he would need to manipulate the characteristics of water, which he has learned to do so very well. Waterlily wonders, does Songhue not posses healing abilities? Maybe she is drained from the long journey here.

*One does feel something in the air.* With that said and a flash of brilliant blue light waterlily transformed in a Blue Wolf. This form was much larger than that of a normal wolf. Waterlily glanced the horizon, but did not see anything. Despite that his senses where on high alert. He steps directly in front of Songhue, as if to shield her from anything that may attack.

*Something approaches, but One cannot sense what it is. Can you not sense what or who it is? One does not like surprises.* Waterlily takes a defensive posture and shows what lovely fangs he has with an endearing smile. As he scans the woods for this approaching force, the waters around them become as still as ice. The crashing of the waterfall silences to a dull hum. It is as if the water stops for him so that he can better hear was comes forth.

Songhue reaches out to rest a hand on his back as he moves in front of her, offering a comforting smile as she steps around him. Though she couldn't hide the limp, she didn't seem that afraid.

"'Tis a familiar being that be close, of that there is no doubt. If my senses are correct and memory has not muddled me, thy watcher goes by such name as Vineda?"

This last she called aloud, though she still trembled slightly. It was a unique and powerful magic that was nearby, one that reminded her too much of her past. She was comfortable with the memories now, yet it had been far too long since they were seen together, as a whole.

"My leg.." she murmured, half wishing she had a friendly arm to lean upon. "'Tis an old wound with an' old tale. It canna be healed; there are poisons, tainted energies, that cannot be cleansed without damaging the limb beyond repair. It does not often bother me."

She looked up here and searched the trees once again, feeling the light of dusk tickle her fur. This land was safe, the creatures trusted; it was time to stop running.

"If Vineda ye be then come forward to me; Thy magic is old and thy healing strong, as strong as mine own. 'Tis impossible to ignore any longer. Come forth, and place a face to thy powers, as thy sees mine own figure, surely."

Her little heart still pounded as she could just make out a fiercesome form with sharp fangs... For some reason she knows this is the being that very nearly knocked her from the air with such force, and there was no way she was about to reveal herself to it. Him. She sensed it was a male that now waited to attack her. Old feelings and memories began their trickle back, a trickle that would easily lead to a torrent. The Hunt... the fleeing.

And then such a voice she heard! A voice that wrenched her back to the present with a firmness, and yet so very gentle... Heartbeat began to slow and Vineda relaxed the talons of her hawk-shape. A wood pixie she became, almost without thinking, and she answered her summon as she leapt from her hideaway branch.

"Vineda I am indeed. Doubt your senses not, dear friend! Pray don't let me interrupt your diving; the light will be gone before too long. Merry meet, good sir. I mean thee no harm." She bobbed her head in greeting, friendly despite her wariness.

She alighted next to Songhue's right side, growing in size before she finally landed. Keeping as much distance between her and the large wolf as possible, she stood near to her friend, holding out an arm as for a hug. She could taste a bitterness on the air, and she was beginning to recognize the pain it stemmed from.

Healing she could do, something she was very proud to have learned. But for Songhue's case 'twould merely be an easing of the pain, should she accept it. The shadow there had an almost tangible feel to it if one felt deep enough. There was also support offered, and though she hoped, she knew better than to expect any acceptance.

"I am sorry to have startled you with my presence. As I learn more of myself and my abilities, it seems I've become more obvious to those around me..."
It was bittersweet, but more importantly, it was. She thanked her lucky stars for each breath she could breathe freely, and in this land especially.
