Any good coders in the house?

Post by Songhue »

Aside from digging through the disemboweled guts of my wordpress powered site to figure out how to replace background and logo images, I've been having trouble figuring out a couple coding things.

The first has to do with navigation - I Love the navigation I have, but I'd like a minor change regarding it. It's a drop down that opens towards the right of the screen, which is typically fine -- except I have paged embedded something like three or four times, so while you're trying to get to them the page stretches itself and you have to scroll over to reach the link. Rather irritating.

Would there be a simple modification that could be made for it to open towards the left of the screen instead - or would the best option be to move the location entirely, put it over on the left of the screen and stick the logo over there instead (and if so is there an easy way to do that without further gut digging)

Another thing is the footer - I have a footer I'd rather keep, but it jets upwards if the page is particularly short. What I mean is if the end of the page comes before the end of the screen, the footer stretches itself up over the bottom of the screen to reach the page. Isn't there a way to make that stationary, where it'll stay at the bottom even if the page is a bit short? I could have sworn I've seen that before, but then again there aren't a lot of pages where that's a problem - not many waste space with a short page, after all.

Please and thank ye. ^^
