I actually bought a Sony eReader, as everyone at work was saying how wonderful having an eReader was. But my plan is to use it to read stuff that's only digital to begin with. Like stuff from Project Gutenberg, or PDF's (I know eReaders aren't that great for PDF but neither is reading for long periods of time on the computer screen).

I haven't bought a single book for it yet, and I haven't stopped buying physical ones either. I just can't help it, I had the eReader run out of battery on my once (well I just got it, so was the first time it needed a recharge), that just doesn't happen with a real book.

I also wanted the eReader for what little travelling I do. Turns out my commute to work doesn't work well because it's too short (not a complaint, just not good for reading) and the public transit is too packed so I usually need one hand free to hold on, and if you're squished it's hard to hold the eReader such that it's not flush againt your face :)

Yeah, handheld book devices are really good for some things, especially if you want to do something like subscribe to a newspaper or magazine and you don't want to have to deal with throwing them away when you're done with them... but the moment I get one, it's over for me. If I give an inch on the issue, my fiancee will never buy me a paper book again ^^;
