Pupils slid to the corners of her eyes, settling on him. "Nothing... Just tired." With the lie came a small yawn, allowing her to stretch the muscles in her front legs a little bit.
She didn't see the use in him answering the question. They'd part when the storm was over, and never see each other again. 'Don't get attached, Saphire... Wisp told you never to make friends... It would only hurt in the end...' When she thought this a smirk was hidden by the fact that she had her head one more settled between her front legs, a sigh moving her sides.

The tension settled again, like an oppressive cloud. He never much liked silence, and no matter how often he tried to pull of Id's whole jaded loner image, it never would agree with the fire in him. It...was strange how he felt he needed to apologize, for whatever he had done wrong he didn't know yet.
"Sorry if I made you uncomforatable, firebrand, talking about adult things and all, but you did ask the question," he sighed and flicked his mane, talking more in the direction of the wall. "Well, to be fair, she isn't really my girlfriend..."

"I guess..."
More like the reason your up here, in the cold, in a cave, just to run away from it all. He ignored the ranting voice in his head. After firebrand's reaction to the 'girlfriend' comment, he wasn't sure she wanted to know his real feelings on the subject. It wouldn't matter to her anyways. After all, the goodbye would come with the snowdrift's end, and then they would leave.
He tried not to let the emotion creep into his voice. He quirked an eye at her, eager to drive the subject away from 'her' and mainly his feelings. "You got a boyfriend, firebrand? Can't see you walkin around without one."
