A Warrior's Bonds

Take your Serians here to chat or just roam their homeland.
The sun glitters above vast fields ringed by verdant forests to the north, mountains to the south and east, and wide rivers to the west.

A Warrior's Bonds

Post by Silverdust »

They stalked the valleys at the foot of the snowy mountains, the long grass swishing about their hooves. The wind rushed in a sharp wing over the rough plains, screaming down from the mountains above and carrying with it the bite of snow. Eve tilted her head and laughed into the cold gust, relishing in its bitterness. She was an odd mare.

"Isn't it just exhilerating!" she breathed out, almost shouting over the wind that whipped her hair about her like strands of amethyst ink spilled over a paper sky.

Id looked at her briefly, pausing silent in the gust. He barely noticed the cold, even though he was of the sandstorms and burning sun. He always felt cold anyways, it seldom mattered to him. She smiled into his gaze, a wild, wickedly beautiful face. "You know, we are all alone out here..."

The stallion looked away, over to the mountain passes. His garnet gaze showed a shimmer of worry, barely traceable in the normally empty eyes. Eve noted it though, used to picking up any shard of emotion he might display. She gave a swift, tender nudge, smiling without the game. "Hey, he'll be fine. We'll find him."

"Not if we linger here," he pushed forward, into the knifelike wind tangling at his rough crimson mane. Eve followed, still relishing in the wind's bittersweet touch.

The quiet mare was just bearly paying attention to where she was heading, picking her paths while in a daze. Her eyes seemed like droplets of cherry juice, while slightly duller then usual.

When she heard voices not to far off, she clicked back to reality and stumbled to the side, nearly ramming into a tree. She gave an irritated sigh mostly to herself and turned away, giving her tail an angry flick.

She stretched before walking on, although this time in the opposite direction of the voices. Although she had recognised one, the other she did not know, and the little mare didn't quite feel up to meeting new Serians at the moment... Too many things on her mind.

The red gem centered on her shoulder glimmered with the reflection of the briliant sun, the black lines helping very little to dim her light blue coat. The red mane and tail not making her camoflauge at all.

Geez, what a great day to be her.

Eve's eyes were sharp, she could pick up the form cantering off in the distance. Id might've noticed to, if he wasn't concentrated on pushing against the wind, and hating himself. She nudged the stallion in the side, smiling lightly. "Look, there's someone over there. Maybe they've seen him."

She galloped off, toward the retreating figure. Id recognized it instantly, but Eve was too far gone for him to warn her. With a light sigh, he trotted after her. He wasn't sure if Satin would want to see him again so soon. After all, their last meeting had been strange, and he couldn't help feeling he might've revealed too much, or nothing at all.

Eve caught up to the mare, but didn't intrude loudly. "Excuse me," she called, her voice polite, alluringly breathless for the running. "I don't mean to intrude, but we're looking for someone. Have you seen a red stallion around here, brown mane and tail, possibly furious?"

Id cantered up behind Eve, giving a light nod in Satin's direction. It wouldn't surpirse him if she didn't return it, she didn't look quite in the mood for socialization, a mask he recognized for wearing it so often.

Red, brown mane and tail? Was it possible... "Blue horns?" She asked, raising a brow. She over heard SaphireSpin talking to her father not too long ago, hearing of a stallion that slightly matched that description.

She didn't see Id right away, so when Eve came running up she haulted and took on a defensive stance. But, when she saw the stallion she seemed to ease a little, a small sigh escaping her.

A cold smirk played across her face, acknowledging Id's nod. She didn't feel like taking it easy, like she usually would have. This mare, the one she didn't know seemed..... Optimistic. But polite, which was an upside. "Id." She mumbled his name in some sort of greeting, a small flash of recognition appearing in her eyes.

"Satin," he replied, calmly, voice carefully devoid of emotion. He couldn't really know what to say around her, but then again, he didn't often say anything at all. Eve looked between the two and smiled slightly. So this was the infamous Satin, what a pleasure.

"Yes, exactly, you've seen him then?" she said, pleased. So they hadn't cantered all the way out here for nothing. "I'm Eve, and I take it from Id that you're the Satin whom he's mentioned?"

She flashed an almost impish smile, the temptress in her itching to play matchmaker, but she wouldn't do that to Id, not when he was feeling like this. But that didn't mean she couldn't drop a few hints here and there, after all, what were friends for? If they could really be defined as friends at all, the line between something more and something less rather vague and shifting.

"No." She glanced at Eve, flicking back an ear. "But... I know someone who has." She shifted her weight, glancing at Id from the corner of her eye. 'So he's mentioned me? Figures.'

"Yes, I'm Satin. Nice to meet you." She found herself talking more then she would have liked, but she couldn't really do anything about that.

She cast the grey stallion another glance, tempted to ask how he had been doing since their last, not so pleasant, meeting. But if she did would this Eve dismiss it as one being polite and attempting at conversation? She didn't know her well enouph yet.

A quiet sigh escaped from lips that were bearly parted, her gaze switching between the two before her.
