:ooc: Eeep... I keep scaring the shorts off people. Sorry... :D;

:bic:
Storm blinked at the now prone figure then turned to see Songhue heading towards them... Oddly she felt very much like a cub.
"I didn't touch her... I swear!" She squeaked as apparently this was indeed a friend of Songhue's if her expression was anything to go by.
"Uhm, I take it speaking wolves are not common to her world??" She added a little sheepishly. She honestly hadn't thought about how the other one would react to her form when she shifted, it was just... Easier for her. :?

Songhue knelt by her collapsed friend, concern and amusment battling for control over her face. Once she'd determined that there wasn't anything mortilly wrong with her she straightened up and answered Wolfy's questions. "I don't think it was that so much as the fact that she wasn't expecting all this. She's very shy. That's why she was in the brush instead of watching me in the open. And it doesn't look like you hurt her, so don't worry about that. At least I didn't find any marks on her."

A faint smile playing around her lips, she tilted her head and turned towards her worried friend. There'd been a slow, cool breeze called up automatically to help her cool off, and it played now with the soft collar of fur around Wolfy's face. "You were in the meadow, right? I heard you, I just hadn't....hadn't felt I was ready to see what was there."

Flicking her wings, she called the wind up stronger, cooling the sweat that trickled down her body and making her slightly more presentable. It also pulled her loose hair back from her face, revieling eyes that were still shadowed. She'd gained control; that didn't mean she'd defeated the demon she'd been fighting. Still, she was at least acting normal.

Storm tilted her head a little confused and a bit concerned...
"But if she knows you, why would she be shy??" She leaned over and snuffled the unconcious form a little. Not rudely but she Was mostly wolf after all and wanted to learn this new one's scent so she wouldn't startle her again... She did seem a tad fragile to withstand such frights apparently.
"I was... Well, I'm not entirely sure Where I was. Over to the erm..." She turned her muzzle in the direction she had come from. For some reason something was bothering her and she couldn't quite remember what... Then suddenly...
"This one isn't the one I scented! This one smelled different but this Isn't the one the wears the Darkness within as a mantle..." She whipped her head around to the far side of where Songhue had been working out...
"I came to this one because she was the one closest and the one I think I heard sneeze or something... The other one... No sound. No good."

Storm's hackles shifted gently as though not certain if they should go into full alert or whether they should remain as they were... She looked back to Songhue then down at the prone figure and back again. She was waiting for Songhue's opinion on what should be done. She knew they couldn't leave this one unprotected but should they split up and seek out whomever had left the unsavory scent or should they remain as they were and see if the thing or whatever would come to them...?

Poison looked up feeling slightly confused. But standing over her was the wolf that had scared her and Songhue. The fact that it had been a talking wolf wasn't the problem, because she was a shifter too. It was just that she didn't really know that the wolf had been close to her until it was right there. She had been light headed from one of her common headaches, so when she got suprised.. it was just the thing to make her body shut down for a few minutes.

"Oh my gosh, I must have fainted, sorry about that." She sat up, her eyes looking to Songhue for understanding.

Another one that wears darkness. This was certianly news to Songhue, but she'd been concentrating so hard on her friends that it wasn't surprising. With a soft breath of a sigh she closed her eyes and sat down, gently shifting the earth with the winds so it rose up and shifted around her in a light cloud. Only her conrtol over the wind kept the dust from blinding and choking her, but the illusion of being caught up in a vortex of life made her feel her connections stronger.

"Being shy doesn't stop when you know someone," She murmured as she opened her mind to the senations around her. " "You still feel shy about watching them, sometimes about even saying hi. If you're just a shy personality then it never stops. But--oh, dear lord in heaven."

He'd followed her. The spinless creature had followed her. Lurching to her feet, Songhue turned to see a man who was obviously balding, had a swagger for a walk, a beer bottle in one hand, and a gut that matched. His small, mean eyes were darting around in his cover of leaves, trying to determine what he'd missed and how he could use it. She found herself gratful that he was so small minded he saw each of them as norms instead of for what they were.

"I'll handle it," she muttered, embarrassed that they should see him, and furious that she couldn't stop the cold wave of hate that threatened to drown her. Then she stepped forward, got up in his face, and shouted him down. Several choice words were passed, and once he jerked a hand back as if to strike before turning it into a motion for his thinning hair. At least she knew why she'd had trouble getting rid of the feel of him; he'd still been close.

Finally, he turned and stormed off, though Songhue had lost quit a bit more than she'd gained in the Tai Chi. "You'll never touch me again," she whispered, tears stinging her eyes as she glared after him. "Never. And I'll be sure you don't touch them either." This was, of course, followed by several crude suggestion as to what all he could touch, and just where he could put those things. When Songhue got mad she cursed and threw things; as there was nothing on hand to throw she was left with empty threats.

After a deep, shuddering breath she turned on her heel and stormed through the trees into Wolfy's meadow. There she pulled her fingers through her hair, took several more breaths, and started moving agian with the rhythem of life that surrounded her. She was, in all honesty, certain that the others had left by now. It was probably for the best anyway. She kept flashing back to the moment before he'd pulled his hand through is hair. Her friends didn't need to deal with that.

Storm blinked then growled when Songhue took off.
Frowning Storm looked over to Poison...
"What do you think...? I don't know how it is where you come from but where I come from we aren't much for letting those close to us face a foe alone."
But as Songhue was determined to ditch them, Storm was left to growl and pace, her ire rising by degrees.
"Thunderation... Fine... Fine FINE....! So apparently I'm too old or beaten up or Whatever that I can't be of any use when it comes down to an actual fight. That I get ditched like some feable old wolf that should let the Nort Biting Cold take her spirit rather than burden her pack any longer."
Finally she sat down staring off the direction Songhue took off and shook her head.
"I failed again... Apparently because I wasn't any good at sparring with her, she felt I was worthless when she was threatened." Came the soft remark, all anger spent and replaced with an ancient sad voice.
"If she comes back for you... Tell her... Give her my apologies for being a lame useless wolf." She told Poison quietly over her shoulder as she walked away without looking back. It was one thing to be too old to be of use, it was another to beg for a use. One you could excuse as being out of your control, the other was unforgivable. So she did the only thing left to her to do... She left.
