"Not to offend... But if one is forced to buy the affection of another, only to lose a part of oneself? Then why bother at all in the first place?" He sighed, a quick shake of his head was given.

"Love never has made sense to me... But I guess ditto goes to that male, be careful, no?" A playful tilt of his head, and a twinkle in the corner of his eye. He had noticed her eyes, while she had been talking... He seemed to have lost himself for a moment.

Bad Ether, bad. Thats not like you. He brushed it off, hiding his thoughts behind an ever-present blank mask.

"Show-mare? If you wish to discuss that, then please go on."

She laughed and shook her head. "There was no forcing. His infatuation maddened him, he said he'd give anything to be mine. He was more than willing. He just didn't expect the price to be so steep." Her eyes were shadowed then, because she was not proud of having to sit back and watch, knowing if she dared to speak out she would be punished.

"Love... is not something I believe I've ever witnessed. Lust, however..." She returned the little bit of flirting with a sweet grin and a rather sultry chuckle. But, just as he switched his affections for her off, she did the same, sighing and thinking back to the... 'good ol' days'. Shudder.

"Show-mare, a polite way of putting it. Bred for a price, desired by many, touched by few. I supposed I was looked at as having a few interesting traits, a physique which is kind on the eyes, and a way of doing what someone in power asks regardless of morals." She resisted the urge to spit then, shaking her head.

"Those days are long behind me. I broke my freedom and cost someone their life in the process. She is doomed in my place now. I have no regrets." The last was said with somewhat of nervousness. Would he judge her now, see her for the dispicable creature that no other male ever discovered under all of that pristine glory?

"Your story seems to have more to it... feel like sharing more of how this all happened to you?"

He gave her a long hard look, before seeming to give up on looking for the mare that seemed to have blood-stained hooves that she spoke of. She looked normal to him, and Ether was one of those who believed in only that which he saw, and science. Typical male.

"My story appears to have much to it, but like most of my memories, it's a blur. I've been told that I have to perform certain tasks in order to get my past returned to me. One happens to be this thing called 'love', unfortionatly." He sighed, shaking his mane with sudden jerks of his head and neck.

Then a playful glimmer flickered in his eyes, and he swiftly trotted towards the mare before him. Ever so gently, his muzzle gave a whiper of a touch to her shoulder before he backed off.

"Touched yah."

He was studying her now, very closely, and this time, she didn't feel the playfulness of before. Yet, he seemed to shrug it off, as if her terrible decisions meant nothing, simply because their effects weren't visible. Well, not on Her body anyway...

She didn't know if this was a good or bad thing, but if he wasn't judging her... well, that was most impressive, and assuring.

"Who told you this? Is someone truly in captive possession of your memories?" She seemed a little bewildered, but at the same time concerned. She could only imagine what it would be like to not remember... sure she hated a lot of her memories, but being able to replay them kept the lessons fresh in her mind. Kept her on track.

"Love hmmm? How unfortunate for you. Though I suppose we're in the same position. Love has been... unacceptable for so long, that I think once I find it, I will find my freedom from everything." She stopped to think a moment before continuing, "Like an antidote, not only to make amends to myself, but also to heal the things I still feel."

She froze up for some odd reason when he touched her, but only because the physical contact without her permission was so... foreign. However, she blushed at her reaction, mentally kicked herself out of one of her 'weird stages', and walked forward slowly with a suspicious smirk. "Is this your version of... tag?" She asked curiously. "Because if so..." Her nose dipped just under his chin, giving his head a small lift as she pulled back a fair distance. "You're it I suppose."

"My memories captive? Not sure. You could say they are in a vault inside my head. And the lock requires a code, but not of numbers or letters. I just know, I guess" He simply shrugged.

But when she touched him, he jerked his head up, not used to such a thing. Usually when he was touched, it wasn't on purpose and so soft he bearly felt it. This, he felt.

"Tag? Hardly. You said that you had been touched by few. And being a stallion who loves superiority, I wanted to be one of the few. But, if you mistook it as such, then so be it."

He went from a dead stop to a extended lope, brushing his side against hers as he passed, adding a quick flick on her withers with his tail.

His gait continued into the woods that had once stood behind them, breaking down to a trot as he weaved between the trunks of old trees.

She had tilted her head to his response, but nodded anyway. He was still much a mystery to her, but perhaps that was why she was still sticking around.

"Ah, but that was not the touch I meant..." Her eyes seemed to intensify for a moment, as if daring him to think the thoughts which others would hush, for they were certainly inappropriate, but implied nonetheless.

She hadn't really been serious with the comment, at least, she didn't think so, so when he brushed past her again in a tag-like fashion, she stood confused, and perhaps a little amused for a moment before turning around.

"Cheeky... come back and try that again..." She teased, moving after him at a somewhat casual, but surprisingly quick pace.
