Re: On Fire (Open to all!)

A little smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. An actual smile, not one of those fake things she had been tossing around all day. She brushed past him to get to the water, her pretty little head dipped toward it's glassy surface and a deep breath was inhaled.

"I say it feels like home."

Her forelock was flipped back with a toss of her head as she looked up again, glancing down the sandy beaches sprawled out before them. She could feel like all here, all her loved ones gently caressing her face on the warm salty breeze.

With that, she threw him a lopsided grin and made a mad dash for the dock only a few strides away, and carefully made her way over the wooden boards.

"C'mon! Or are you too chicken?" A fire was burning behind her eyes now, as she strutted closer to the end of the dock, looking much like she was taking a stroll down the catwalk.

Shamrock saw the smile and positively beamed, noticing how it seemed to reach her eyes and soften her face. Her lopsided grin was returned with one of his crooked ones... It seemed all he was to do today was smile.

He watched her smooth steps, full of confidence, and hesitated. Not from nerves though. Her confidence was matched by his own swagger as he made her wait. Why he did this, he couldn't say.

After a moment, he released his energy into another prancing jig, slowly winding his way to the dock. Once there he called on all of his concentration to sidle past her without a misstep, then he reached out and grabbed a strand of her amethyst locks. He met her eyes very briefly. "Me? Chicken? Never!" Releasing her hair almost immediately, he turned with exaggerated daintiness and barrelled into the water. "CANNONBALL!" He bellowed as lloud as possible before ducking into the water.

His cries were soon followed by the sound of her own body colliding with the ocean. A couple seconds after that her head bobbed to the surface, giggly madly and swimming towards shore.

When it was only up to her knees, she shook herself like a giant dog and puffed up her cheeks in dismay when her wet hair continued to stick to her face. She turned to face Shamrock with a wicked grin gracing her lips, head snaked out toward him in an almost menacing manner.

"Well big guy, ever loose to a girl before?"

It would probably become clear about now that her whole life had been spent around males. All her friends, her brother, her father. All males. The only females she could stand were those she shared a bonded with. And even their company was few and far between.

Re: On Fire (Open to all!)

As he came up for air, he spotted her heading to the beach and tried to chase her. But he was pulled up short as she reached it and shook her whole self out. The expression on her face had him laughing harder than ever, and he just couldn't manage the feisty bit after seeing the first look on her face and her disheveled hair.

Still chuckling, he looked at her with a wink and only the barest hint of a challenge. "All the time." He was currently surrounded by females. His bonded and those serians he knew best were all mares.

Goaded by her confidence, he asked, "Ever lose to anyone before?" as a joke at her aparent invincibility. He too reached the shore, but he let all the water cascade down from his body to the sand. "Question is," continued in a mocking tone, "what's to win? That might make all the difference."

He taunted her slightly, feeling her out, curious what game they were talking about. Some might call him chicken, but he liked to know the stakes before he dove. The prize? Well, knowing that was icing on the cake.

Sauntering off with a flick of his tail, he plopped down on the sand and began to roll. Grains of sand flew in every direction for a moment as he thrashed about and grunted once. He'd done this in the snow before, but the snowman effect had been lost as the snow had melted from his body heat. The effect now should be interesting... a sandman?

He let the sand give his back a nice scratch as he listened for either her laugh or... what? He wondered what she'd do with this goofy side of his.

ooc| Ack! >_< Sorry, I'm back, I promise! Haha.

bic| She paused a moment, her face falling to a slight frown. Memories at once clouded her mind, thinking back to the recent fight she had participated in.

"Once," Was stated flatly, "And this may sound weird, but I'd give anything to lose to them again..."

At the mention of winnings, a foxy grin was flashed at him. Wet hair was swiftly flipped to the other side of her face when she turned to quirk a brow. So he was the betting type, was he? This could make things so much more interesting.

"It all depends," She drawled out slyly, circling him with floating steps. The saucy look not once faltering, "On what you want." With a delicate flick of her hoof, some sand was tossed onto his upturned belly, aiding in the look of the sandmonster.

A soft chuckle was given at his antics, but the foxy glint in her eyes still remained. She wanted to push him now, she wanted to see if she had the power to unnerve him.
