((Bet I know who that special someone is ;) ;)))

Silver was completely unaware that his mother had talked to Chaos. In fact, he hadn't been paying attention at all. He had been... well..dozing. He woke up startled as he heard hooves approach. Surprised that Chaos was cresting the hill, he gathered himself up for another arguement... or at least more insults. He stared at him, a completely uninterested look on his face, but dropped it guardedly when Chaos actually started being nice to him!

Gazing at him curiously, eyes twinged upwards in a wary expression, he replied "If there's something you wanted to do, what did you have in mind?"

He was surprised that his parents were staying here overnight... they must have noticed that things weren't going the way they had originally planned.... he remembered his father saying something about how they would be "good friends" because they were so much "alike"..... so much for that theory.

((Heheheh... :P ))

Chaos paces a little in small circles and looked up at the sky. He couldn't help but smile, he loved the night so much. He looked back at the male he had thought he'd never get along with and swallowed something rude.

"I really don't know.. I like fish.. and racing.."

He laughed at himself, that had sounded really immature, the part about the fish anyway. But it was true, he'd spent hours just catchign fish and throwing them back in, he liked racing so once he'd even help his own 'fish races' it had turned out pretty well. His tail flicked in mild annoyance, he wasn't used to being around anyone else so naturally he felt it as a dominance threat, but he was trying hard, and his temper-controlled nature was paying off big time.

Vapor sat by the warming fire and smiled. She stood and gathered some twigs and such into a large pile, and then she went to a patch of rotting trees and knocked over the uninfested ones, pulling them out and splitting them up with her warrioress skills. She dragged these back to the camp and set up a roomy square fort withing minutes, complete with twig and grass roofing. She grinned at her creation and moved to nuzzle Bridle affectionately, giving him a big, proud lick before giggling. "They'll be along soon, trust me on this one.. Chaos may be a bit egocentric and such but he's very logical and he'll choose the right actions I'm sure." She settled down before the fire again, smiling at Bridle warmly.

SilverRain eyed the foal skeptically. He still wasn't sure if this was some sort of trick or if the foal truely meant to be nice for awhile. He finally decided that perhaps he better do likewise.

"Fish eh? I've never really spent a whole lot of time around fish...hmm....racing I've done before, so whatever you think is best... I'll let you pick. Either sounds interesting, and as for racing, I'm game."

Chaos grinned and leaned back, mometarily forgetting any spats or different opinions they'd shared.. and he came up with another of his origional and interesting games..

"Well, we could race.. underwater.. and you have to collect fish."

He laughed aloud at how rediculous it sounded, but therein itself lay the fun!

"You have to race down the entire straight part of the stream.. and.. collect.. 7 fish before you reach the end where the stream begin to curve again. If you drop some you have to get more and if you finish without the 7 fish then you get time deducted.. basically it's like if you finished first with 5 fish and I finished second with 7 then if we were close together I'd win for sure, if you won by a little bit I'd either win barely or tie because of the fish.. and if you won by a mile then it'd be okay, and vice versa.. wow I like the sound of this.."

Bridle looked towards SilverRain and Chaos with approval.

"They seem to be getting along quite well now love," he said, licking her muzzle affectionately. "True, Chaos is a bit fiesty, but then so is SilverRain... they have such similar personalities sometimes that they keep butting heads...but at least it's better now."

SilverRain nodded his approval at the sound of the game. He liked interesting competitions. He smiled. "Now I'm definitely game for that...sounds interesting....although I'm not particularily fond of swimming, but oh well." All thoughts of trying to prove his opinion were forgotten as he flexed his wings in anticipation.

Chaos grinned, nodded and began inspecting the stream nearby. The fish had come out to enjoy the silence of the night and so there were plenty, in fact, he wouldn't be surprised if the race went a bit curvy because of how weird it felt to bump into fish. He Left gracefully into the water and drew a line with his hoof as the startign poitnt. Seeing as the end of the stream swurved right sharply the end would be more than obvious. He was so caught up in the game that he really forgot who he was racing with. In fact to him, it was just like hanging out with Threestrikes. He nodded his head in an inviting gesture and waited patiently.. to a certain degree.

Vapor sighed and returned the affectionate gesture, resting her head on his muscled shoulder, seeing them fairly clearly in the light the fire provided. "I knew that it would be rough at first, but they're both in mid-stages of maturity.. can you not see them growing? It has been a matter of hours that we've seen them together but for the last 2 days I've seen Chaos gaining height and muscle rapidly, he's starting to develop his warrior traits too. With all these physical changes come mental ones as well, his logic has improved and he is much more sensible. With this adjustment I think the rough parts will begin smoothing out.." She smiled again and yawned contentedly.
